A den leader’s real question in February is what the den has not done yet, and what could be done about it next Tuesday. Every Scout Advances is the part of the kit built around that question.
The gap view
For your den and its rank: which requirements no session has covered yet this program year, which scouts are behind on them, and the shortest path to rank. The same view rolls up per pack so the Cubmaster can see which dens need a hand.
The activity library
Activities a leader can search by requirement: a meeting plan, a game, a field trip, something to do at home, each mapped to the requirements it covers. Pick one and it becomes a session with the requirements already attached. Leaders can rate what they used. Publishing new activities to the shared library, and maintaining the mappings, will start free and may move to a contributor tier later.
The library holds activity ideas and our own short labels. It never holds Scouting America’s requirement text or artwork.
Done at home
A parent tells the app what their scout did at home. That lands in the den leader’s queue as a proposal, and the leader approves it with one tap or sets it aside. Parents never approve their own kid’s completion; leaders never have to transcribe a text message into the record.
What is true today
The tables for the library, the mappings, and parent-origin completions are in the database with access rules and tests. The screens are not built yet, which is why this page says Coming.
