Scoutbook Plus stays the official record. Carabiner is where the meetings happen, which means it knows the part Scoutbook Plus never sees: who came, what the den covered, and which packs are quietly falling behind.

Missing member IDs, youth with no guardian on file, guardians who never signed in, likely duplicates. The list every unit needs in October and usually builds by hand in December, across all of your units at once.
The parents will already be on it.
Carabiner is one family record that any group can clip into, not a Scouting-only tool a parent installs under protest. The argument no pack tool has been able to make to a council: the parents in your packs can use the same login for the soccer team and the PTA, so the pack app is the one they already open.
What you would get, and what it costs.
The Organizations tier is priced per unit under you and is not final. It adds a unit directory, cross-unit reports, a branded sign-up flow for your units, and a named contact. Every pack under you keeps the free tier; the council pays for the oversight, not the volunteers.
Carabiner is independent and not affiliated with Scouting America. It uses no Scouting America logos, badge artwork, or requirement text, and it is in its first program year with one pack. We would rather tell you that now than have you find out.
