You do not need another app per activity. Carabiner is one record for your family that each group clips into: the pack this year, the troop later, whatever else your kids join.
What you see when you sign in. Built
Sign in with a link sent to your email; there is no password to forget. Pick a group and you see your own kids in it, their den, and their rank. If you are also a den leader, you see your den. If you are in two packs, you switch between them without signing out.
- Co-parents share the record. Each kid lists the adults who can see and act for them.
- You see your household, and only your household. Another parent cannot see your kids; a den leader cannot see another den.
- Coming: the family home screen. All of your kids, all of their groups, what is next this week.

Your scout finishes a requirement at home. You tell the app; the den leader sees it in their queue and approves it with one tap. Parents never approve their own kid's completion, and leaders never have to transcribe a text message. Your scout's progress and what is left to rank up are yours to read any time.

Scan the pack's QR code, type your last name, tick who is here, submit. Two siblings in two dens from one scan, no account needed. Before the meeting, one RSVP answers for the whole family.
No youth accounts. No photos.
Kids never sign in to Carabiner and nothing in it is addressed to them. There are no youth logins, no youth photos, and no chat, so there is no adult-to-youth digital contact to police. The app holds the minimum about a kid: name, den, rank, member ID, and an optional birth date for rank eligibility. Adults hold the contact details.
